Sammy Hagar was ahead of his time when he visited Tequila, Jalisco back in the 1990s and began his search for a distiller – he met Juan Eduardo Nunez at Tequila El VIejito and the rest is history – Cabo Wabo tequila was sold for $80,000,000 (for 80% interest) in 2007.

Galeria Ida Victoria was a dream come true for Parson’s art graduate Ida Gustavson – she and her husband left a tiny apartment in New York and embraced Cabo Living in 2002 – the gallery opened in 2003. This world-class gallery showcases the artworks of established, as well as emerging contemporary artists from Mexico and around the world. Not only has Ida become one of Cabo’s well-known entrepreneurs, her two daughters were born in San Jose del Cabo, and raised in her home behind the gallery. The love of Cabo extends to her parents, who have a home in Querencia.

The Los Cabos climate offers the desert and the ocean, it was only natural for the owners of Desert Soaps to move to Cabo in the 1990’s – encouraged by their love for surfing and living off the grid they bought a ranch on the east Cape close to Nine Palms – their favorite surf break. They established this successful brand of organic handmade soaps and lotions with indigenous ingredients such as bark, herbs, and flowers. Desert Soaps was established in 1996 and can be found in luxury resorts such as Esperanza an Auberge Resort .
