Restaurant Recommendations: When traveling to new places, finding good food can be a challenge and not knowing the area well enough often results in not having the experience you are looking for. That’s why it’s important to do research beforehand on what a destination can offer when it comes to good culinary experiences.
Fortunately, one of the easiest things to find in Cabo San Lucas and all along the Baja is delicious food. There are plenty of options for a great meal any time of the day; whether you crave fresh seafood with your toes in the sand or just a casual dinner with friends enjoying live music and good drinks. Below are three recommendations for your next visit:
1. La Casona Restaurant (Steakhouse)
La Casona Steakhouse and Piano Bar is located in one of Los Cabos luxury real estate ocean-front developments, Villa La Estancia.
One of Cabo’s best-kept secrets, their variety of menu choices and panoramic views of the arch make the perfect combination. Come just for their famous Mexican coffee or go all out and order a delicious ribeye steak and lobster platter. La Casona is not just a steakhouse though; their menu offers sea bass, seared tuna, chicken, garlic shrimp with pasta and their famous New England clam chowder. Great service, the pianist playing mellow melodies and the delightful ocean breeze will make your dinner experience memorable!
2. Mi Casa Restaurant (Mexican)
For over 15 years, this Mexican restaurant in the heart of downtown Cabo San Lucas has been serving locals and tourists traditional “made from scratch” Mexican cuisine.
Their authentic Mexican decor is unique and hard to find in any other Cabo restaurant and the open-air patio invites you to take advantage of Cabo’s incredible weather while enjoying one of their famous house margaritas. Freshly made tortillas are served with all of their exquisite main dishes so be sure to find time for Mi Casa to take you on delicious Mexican cuisine and culture adventure!
3. The Green Room (Seafood, located in Todos Santos)
Last but not least, this has to be one of my favorite places in Baja. Located one hour away from Cabo San Lucas, just outside the magic town of Todos Santos, The Green Room is perfect if you want to feel like you are away from it all and at a very cool spot.
This wonderful little hangout on the beach is a hidden jewel; freshly caught seafood, excellent service, full bar and your feet in the sand. Indulge in their interesting tostada creations of fish, shrimp, and octopus and don’t miss the breathtaking sunsets sinking into the Pacific ocean.
The Green Room manages to make a very casual lunch or dinner into one of the most delicious, extraordinary culinary experience you’re ever going to have.
