I feel very grateful to have been able to live and work in almost every main coastal tourist destination in Mexico and to have traveled to countless others. Mexico is my adopted country and I’m proud to call myself a full time resident.
Believe it or not, every Mexican state has its own identity with respect to culture, food, spices, traditional dances, handicrafts; thus, its own distinct Mexican appeal. Although the main language is Spanish, there are 78 recognized indigenous languages. Although Spanish is spoken throughout the 32 different states, each state has its own accent and use of colloquialisms.
My first trip to Los Cabos many moons ago is, by far, not the Los Cabos we see today. It was a destination serviced by very few airlines and limited gateways. Cabo San Lucas had sand streets, no marina and San Jose del Cabo was the larger of the two towns which exudes the easy vibe still felt today.
Our once sleepy capes are growing up quickly, yet we have still preserved the natural beauty where the desert meets the ocean and enjoy an incredible climate which is unique to Los Cabos.
Los Cabos has something for everyone. For the sports enthusiast we offer excellent surfing, diving, fishing, off road racing, golfing, mountain biking, hiking, and everything in between.
Culinary experiences range from incredible street food vendors to some of the most exquisite restaurants – often rated second to none on the world circuit. Ask me for my favorites… I’m always happy to share!
Los Cabos is home for bountiful species of marine life and a protected barrier reef at Cabo Pulmo, which Jacques Cousteau spent many years exploring, filming and writing about.
