How To Kill Two Days In May In Todos Santos

Step 1:  Pack a sunhat, casual clothing, comfortable shoes and head up the coast to Todos Santos

Step 2:  Check into that quaint little downtown hotel, walking distance to all the events. May we recommend La Bohemia, The Vibe, Casa Tota or the Todos Santos Inn?

Step 3:  Rest up as the next 48 hours will be a whirlwind of fun!

IT’S GASTROVINO TIME!

On May 18th and 19th, Todos Santos hosts the 8th annual food and wine festival, Gastrovino, introducing over 15 wineries throughout Mexico and 20 local restaurants, with many of the chefs cooking on site during the festival.  

Saturday, May 18th 
First night is the GastroTour.  With map in hand, stroll to 10 nearby restaurants enjoying each chef’s food pairing with one of the featured wines.  The tour delightfully ends up at the Hotel California with live music, dancing and socializing with other food and wine lovers.

Sunday, May 19th
From 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Town Square turns into a Circus of the Senses, the theme for this year’s event.  Over 20 restaurants participating in this event along with wine tasting from 15 prominent Baja wineries, live painting, performance art, DJ’s and jazz with Pepe Sosa.  The afterparty continues rooftop at Hotel Guaycura Sky Lounge, DJ’s and dancing under the stars.

The annual silent auction during the event allows attendees the opportunity to give back to the community by bidding on numerous items such as art, jewelry, hotel stays, travel opportunities and food and wine accessories.  This year’s auction will benefit the Padrino Children’s Foundation.For those with plenty of time to spare, come to town the day before and explore the charming Pueblo Magico boutiques such as Besame Mucho or Nomad Chic, find your summer reading at El Tecolote Bookstore, head off down dusty roads searching for secluded beaches, or perhaps investigate local real estate at The Agency Todos Santos.  

Tickets are available in Todos Santos at El Tecolote Bookstore and Amor D’vino, in San Jose del Cabo at Pez Gordo at the Shoppes at Palmilla and at the Wine Market in Cabo San Lucas.
