DE-Clutter Now…it will help you sell
The biggest thing I try to stress to my sellers is to DE-CLUTTER all spaces. If an item is not used every day put it away neatly in a closet. The kitchen and bathrooms should be as clean and tidy as possible. It is not possible to use 50 different types of spices every day so stash them in a cupboard.
Put the toaster, juicer, blender etc. away. Cutting boards and knives in a drawer. In the bathroom all toiletries should be stowed away. Disarray in the kitchens and bathrooms gives the impression there is no storage in the home. Extend this same mindset to all the living spaces. Less is better in every sense of the word when selling your home. Make sure the house is clean, inviting and smells nice. It’s not necessary to bake cookies and have the coffee on, but a dirty cat box or a smelly dog bed can leave a lasting impression on the buyers; and not in a good way. Sell or donate items that will not stay in the house. Less clutter will help sell your home faster.
