Los Cabos Community Reopening Update: Today Los Cabos is one of the safest destinations to visit in terms of health and hygiene in compliance with the World Travel & Tourism Council guidelines.Â
Depending on the behavior of the pandemic, different economic activities may be now be reopened and the seating capacity of establishments may vary. The COVID control light is updated every week and can be found on the Baja California Sur government website.
The safety measures that are being implemented to visit public spaces such as supermarkets, offices, hotels and restaurants are in place to ensure the wellbeing of our community. At this moment, hotels and restaurants are only permitted to use 40% of their total capacity.Â
The general protocol starts upon arrival by measuring body temperature, sanitizing hands, and stepping on a mat with a solution with water and chlorine. The use of masks is mandatory even if you are entering an open space. These measures also apply to real estate offices which is why at The Agency Los Cabos we are implementing the same protocols.
Most water activities and excursions, such as fishing, have resumed operations. Tours must meet the new health authorities’ protocols to reopen and large groups will be split into smaller groups maintaining an adequate social distance.Â
As the epidemiological curve has now plateaued in Los Cabos, churches, movie theaters and gyms may reopen this week for the first time in five monthsÂ
In accordance with the current guidelines, real estate property showings may be taking place by maintaining social distancing of six or more feet apart, removing shoes, or even covering footwear with booties. The way of presenting homes has also changed; hosting virtual tours offers less face-to-face interaction. For these reasons and because of its small, responsible, and friendly community, today is the best time to invest in Los Cabos. We enjoy looking after each other.Â
Here at The Agency Los Cabos we care strongly about our community and, as a result, actively participate with an organization called Baja California Sur Community Alliance. With our volunteer work, we ensure that all in need have enough food and medical resources to help them throughout the pandemic. To this day, approximately 157,662 food baskets have been donated to different homes. Â
