The Agency Los Cabos, The Rooftop at The Cape – a Thompson Hotel, and Plaza Home Mortgage invite you to the second “Concert Under the Stars” with Common Sense benefitting Red Autismo and Surfer’s Healing – Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 from 6 to 10 pm. This special evening will take place on The Rooftop at The Cape in Cabo San Lucas.
Red Autismo
Red Autismo (redautismo.org) and Surfer’s Healing (surfershealing.org) are non-profit organizations dedicated to serving and integrating children and adolescents with autism. Surfers Healing – a Foundation for Autism, performs a ‘day at the beach’ for children and their families all over North America. They have been visiting Los Cabos since 1996. Red Autismo was founded in 2008 by two mothers working together to improve services for children with developmental disorders.
Red Autismo Therapy Center is constantly growing, and with new students added each cycle the need for additional space is imminent. The cost per family, per child, per year is $5,000.00 USD. With a lack of government funding available for centers such as Red Autismo, all funds are raised by donations.
The Agency Los Cabos, The Rooftop at The Cape – a Thompson Hotel and Plaza Home Mortgage are proud to stand by Red Autismo, the first non-profit organization in Los Cabos to offer support and services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. In 2010, their efforts culminated in the inauguration of the Therapy Center. And in 2015 a major milestone was accomplished with the launch of the pilot program of Inclusive Education with an Integral Approach (INEVI). The program now includes two pre-school groups and one elementary school group, with a total of 75 children enrolled in both programs.
With a SoCal background and a small beach town attitude, Common Sense has taken their reggae influences and created their own style. They are known for ‘giving back’ through charities such as Surfers Healing – a Foundation for Autism, THERAsurf and Red Autismo, to name a few.
