Dawn Pier is an award-winning real estate advisor with over a decade of experience representing buyers and sellers on the East Cape and San Jose del Cabo. In 2023, her first year with The Agency Los Cabos, Dawn won Most Sides Represented. Dawn left eastern Canada on a frigid winter day in 2002 to move to the tiny off-grid village of Cabo Pulmo on the southern East Cape to follow her dream to learn to surf and spearhead a conservation project to protect the coral reef in Cabo Pulmo National Park (CPNP). She founded the community organization, Amigos para la Conservacion de Cabo Pulmo, A.C. (Friends for the Conservation of Cabo Pulmo) that undertook to get the park better managed and initiated the first SCUBA-dive-based sea turtle monitoring program in North America.
Dawn’s career in real estate began in 2012, a natural progression that evolved out of helping ex-pat friends and neighbors with Spanish translation, construction projects, and property management. In her previous life, Dawn was a research scientist studying the environmental impact of military radar stations on the Canadian arctic. She holds a Masters degree in Biology from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario. In keeping with her analytical nature, Dawn sees real estate as a form of detective work. She loves the challenge of finding her clients the perfect property or evaluating a property’s worth.
In case you’re wondering, she did learn to surf and enjoys nothing more than a morning spent in the water in head-high-plus waves, while her trusty pooches, Kali and Pili, hunt crabs on the beach. Dawn speaks Spanish fluently and has a strong understanding of French.
